Controller / Gamepad Test

Check every button, trigger and analog stick on your gamepad — and spot stick drift in seconds. Works with Xbox, PlayStation and most PC controllers.

No controller — press a button to connect
Left stick · 0.00, 0.00
Right stick · 0.00, 0.00

Leave the sticks alone — if a value drifts from 0.00 on its own, that's stick drift.

How to test your controller

  1. Connect the controller by USB cable or Bluetooth.
  2. Press any button — browsers only detect a gamepad after the first input.
  3. Press each button and trigger; they light up green here.
  4. Move the sticks and watch the dots; release them to check for drift.

Stick drift explained

Stick drift is when the analog stick reports movement while you're not touching it, caused by a worn or dirty potentiometer. If the resting value isn't near 0.00, the stick is drifting and may need cleaning or replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't my controller detected?

Press a button first — the browser only sees a gamepad after input. Also make sure it's connected and, for Bluetooth, paired in your system settings.

Does this work with Xbox and PS5 controllers?

Yes — both are supported over USB and Bluetooth in modern browsers like Chrome and Edge.
