How to test your webcam
- Click Start webcam test.
- Click Allow when your browser asks for camera access.
- Your live video appears. Use Camera to switch between devices, or Mirror to flip the image.
- Speak to check the bonus microphone level meter moves.
Webcam not working? Quick fixes
Permission was blocked
Click the camera icon in your browser's address bar and set it to Allow, then reload. On Chrome you can also go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Camera.
Another app is using the camera
Close Zoom, Teams, Skype, or any other app that might hold the camera, then reload this page. Only one app can use the camera at a time.
No camera detected
Check the cable on external webcams, and on Windows confirm the camera isn't disabled in Device Manager or blocked under Settings → Privacy → Camera.
